Day-by-Day Itinerary
We pick you up early in Marrakech and drive over the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi n Tichka pass. Stop to enjoy beautiful mountain views and fresh air. Visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a clay fortress seen in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue through the fragrant Rose Valley and end the day in Dades Valley for a peaceful night.
After breakfast, explore the winding Dades Valley and stop for photos of the red cliffs. Continue to Todra Gorges, where tall orange canyon walls rise above you. Drive through green palm groves to reach the golden dunes of Merzouga. Enjoy a camel ride at sunset to your luxury desert camp. Have dinner under the stars, listen to Berber drumming, and spend the night in a comfortable tent.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, it’s calm and magical. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4. Visit nomad families in their tents and share mint tea with them. Stop in Khamlia village to enjoy Gnawa music and dancing. Walk through a palm grove and visit the wild lake, where flamingos sometimes appear. Spend the night in a hotel near the dunes.
Leave the desert and visit the colorful market in Rissani. Stop in Erfoud to see fossil workshops, then drive through the green Ziz Valley. Have lunch in Midelt before visiting a cedar forest where Barbary macaque monkeys live. Continue to Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco for its alpine style, and finish the day in the historic city of Fes.
After breakfast, explore Fes with your guide. Visit the Royal Palace Gate and walk through the old streets of the Jewish Quarter. Enjoy city views from Borj Sud fortress, then see artisans at the Ceramic Village. Explore the maze-like medina, visit Al Attarine Madrasa and the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest in the world, and stop at the colorful Chouara Tanneries. Return to your riad to relax.
Enjoy your last morning in Fes. If time allows, take a final walk in the medina or relax with mint tea in a riad. When ready, we will drive you to Fes Airport for your flight home, ending your Morocco tour with great memories.
